Stone Blind (Review)
Another retelling of greek myths after “The Song of Achilles” and “Circe”, this time by Natalie Haynes. The book is based on the myth of Medusa and Perseus with interesting twists.
The approach of this retelling is different that the other ones I read before in that gods here are very much part and center of the story. Perseus is little more than useless without divine intervention, and that makes space for some humorous tone throughout the book. Although I did like this story I wish there was more time devoted to explore the personality and voice of Medusa herself. Solid book nonetheless, I would recommend reading it.
